Co-Owner, Artisan Custom Homes
Neil Thogerson brings over 25 years of architectural and construction experience to his role as Co-Owner of Artisan Custom Homes. Specializing in custom home designs, smaller residential developments, and urban infill projects, Neil has helped shape Portland's residential landscape with homes that balance timeless design and modern functionality. As both an architect and a construction manager, Neil has led a diverse array of projects, including hotels, apartment complexes, and single-family and multi-family homes.
Before founding Artisan in 2008 with his business partner, Brent Pilip, Neil played a key role in building over 100 homes annually at his previous firm. His early career took him to Dallas, Austin, and Phoenix, where he worked with major firms, honing his skills in large-scale residential and commercial development. A native of Oregon, Neil returned to the Pacific Northwest to raise his family and launch his own business, driven by a passion for creating high-quality homes that stand the test of time.
Renowned for his expertise in residential design, Neil frequently consults on custom home projects and has developed stock plans for other builders. When not designing or managing projects, you'll likely find him enjoying the outdoors-whether it's water skiing, snow skiing, or boating on Portland's rivers and Puget Sound.
